One
day in America, the land of the free
One day in America, a place to build your dreams
One day in America, where rainbows come to shine
One day in America, a day where terror binds
|
CHORUS:
One day in America
|
ECHO:
One day in America, arrived |
One
day in America, the home of the brave
One day in America, the lives that fall to save
One day in America, brings strength through tragedy
One day in America, united all that be...
|
One
day in America:
|
Land
of the free
Brings unity
We will survive
With strength and pride
We will be strong
All sing along

Letter
to My Friends
Dear Friends,
I hope you are doing as well as you can considering
the recent events of September 11 in New York, the Pentagon,
and Pennsylvania. Our prayers are with you all, especially
families and loved ones of those who have lost their
lives in the terrorist attacks. It's still so hard to
believe that such atrocities can happen here in the
United States to that extent.
It's been a very numbing experience and I, as I'm sure
most of you, have been doing lots of thinking about
the events and the many losses, while going through
extreme emotions from sadness to anger and everything
in between. It's also very moving to see everyone trying
to help each other throughout the nation get through
this tragedy.
We have a long road ahead in healing, but there is
no doubt that we will get through this as a nation.
As a songwriter I use my craft as medicine or therapy
for myself and others at times like these. I have written
a song in light of the September 11 incident called
"One Day In America," and have also recorded this song.
I plan on uploading the song onto our web-site and allowing
anyone who wishes to download the song free of charge.
For those of you who feel the need to pay for the song,
please send any donation directly to the American Red
Cross, and maybe send us an email letting us know that
you have done so.
Hope and healing,
Jim Boyd
